Tesla announces a TeslaBot, a humanoid robot to perform boring or dangerous tasks.

Elon Musk's company is working on an autonomous robot with Artificial Intelligence (AI) that looks like a humanoid to perform dangerous, repetitive or boring tasks. He presented the novelty at its "AI Day" event.
The robot would be called Optimus (like Optimus Prime for fun, if for Transformers...) They already have experience in software and hardware development moving forward with automotive development, but this is a twist on the company's usual horizon, given that Musk a while back talked about being cautious with AI development given that it can develop capabilities beyond our understanding. So it has to be supervised.
For now what we see is a conceptual design, no prototypes have been shown, but we do know some of its specifications:
Height: 1.73 metres.
Weight: 56.7 kg.
Walking or jogging speed: 8 km/h.
Load capacity: 20.4 kg.
It would include the Autopilot technology used in cars, cameras for guidance and would have a screen on its face.

The company could have a first prototype of the Tesla Bot sometime in 2022.
